10-08 Angie

Angie is Robert's second child and was born April 12, 1974. Both cousin Michael and Angie were born in the same hospital and at roughly the same time. Robert moved the family to Huntsville in 1979.
The photo shown with her grandmother Bulloch was taken at about the same time I visited Robert and Jane in Huntsville. And I remember seeing Angie studying away without being asked.
Angie studied Biology at Bishop’s University in Quebec where she met her future husband, Joel McEwen. They were both on the university ski team. Could never get over how athletic Angie and Andrew were as young people, and now how accomplished their children are. Angie remembers, as a teenager, driving with her folks for about nine hours to reach the ski hills in Quebec and Vermont.
Angie went to Toronto to study Pharmacy and Joel went to Vermont to train as a chef. They were married in Huntsville, and what a great wedding shot. They then lived in Quebec before moving to Huntsville.
Their children are Thomas and Lila, and in the photo with Aimee is Angie’s favourite babysitter, and five cousins together. Left to right are James, Andrew, Thomas, Aimee, Navy and Lila.
Joel and Angie now live in Hillsdale, which is close to Barrie. Joel teaches at Georgian Bay District Secondary School, and Angie is a pharmacist at the Georgian Bay General Hospital.
One of my favourite photos Angie sent me is of Lila as a little girl. Thomas can show that photo to Lila’s boyfriends when she is a grownup.

It should be no surprise that Angie loves Blue Jays baseball with a grandfather Fidler who was a former pitcher with the Washington Senators in the American league. And her friend seems to love baseball even more.
