10-05 Ian (IB)

He was Ian's second child with Meg. He carried his father's name, but to avoid confusion, he was called “IB”.
I loved visiting Ian in Moraga, California as the children were growing up and the photo of the three children, Katie, IB and Kayre, is one of my favourites.
All of the weddings of Ian’s children were special family events. IB and Elizabeth were married in Sonoma, Arizona. My daughter Kelly came across from CA for the wedding.
Brother Ian had died in 2009, so at the wedding reception, I expressed the family's best wishes on his behalf. I loved watching Ben, Ian's first grandchild from his daughter Ann, taking videos of the wedding ceremony.
Elizabeth's mother was there from Alaska with her husband. The day was wonderful. I cannot remember a wedding where Mary and I had so much fun.
At the end of 2016 when Mary and I and Kelly got together with Ian's family in Lafayette, it was obvious that Elizabeth was close to giving birth. Look at that wonderful family photo. One of Katie's twins had a broken wrist, and a month later the other twin broke his leg.
And, it was just weeks after the party that Emily was born and the photo of the three of them together is a “beauty”.
We had a get together in Moraga when Emily was about a month old, and it is obvious she is a beautiful child.
It breaks my heart to think that brother Ian is gone and missing these wonderful children and grandchildren.
