Yes, some memories are special and Paul’s graduation from Dexter-Southfield high school in Brookline, MA was one of them. It was June 8th, 2017. And our first photo from the event shows Paul on the stage with the graduating class. Dexter was the boy’s school and Southfield, the girl’s school. But they all shared the same campus.
And there was no one prouder than Paul's mother, and what a nice shot of the two of them together. Paul was given a special award for Visual Arts, and those genes came from mother Kelly, who at present is working on her Master's Degree in Fine Arts. It will be a new career in Interior Design that is in Kelly's future.
No one is prouder of their grandchildren than Mary and I, and what a nice shot of the four of us. The festivities included a luncheon at the school, and an evening out together for dinner. And to top off the celebrations, it was also Kelly's birthday.
Paul has been accepted into North Eastern University in Boston towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering. How amazing. It was back in 1952 that I entered the University of Toronto towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering. It was called Engineering and Business then but was part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
What is truly amazing is that North Eastern University has a partnership arrangement with Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne Australia, and Paul along with 120 others will do their first semester at Swinburne. How lucky he is and the friendships he will make there will be forever.
And to top off the celebrations, we have a great shot of the five of us. This photo really is our special memory.
