10-04 Kaytie

Kaytie was Ian and Meg's first child, and is now the mother of twins, Ryan and Dillan, and young Maggie.
I remember the family anxiety when Dillan was born with a heart problem and underwent special surgery. What a joy to see them today. Ryan is the larger of the two, but both are full of life in terms of energy and personality.
Kaytie went to the University of California, Davis and graduated in Human Development and Communications. She met Michael during her first week of College. I will never forget their wedding on September 9, 2000. It was a real family affair with all the brothers together for the celebrations.
Love the photo of Michael with Maggie. Maggie has that amazing red/brown hair. Even with my colour blindness, I can see the brilliant colouring.
Visiting their home in Lafayette, which was not far from Ian and Meg’s home in Moraga, I watched the twins trying to play with Maggie as a little two-year-old, and she kept pushing them away. I remember Ryan saying to me, “Maggie plays rough.” So cute.
Kaytie and Michael have a beautiful home, and it has been a pleasure visiting with them over the years. Love the photo of Kaytie with the boys in their wonderful back yard. The boys are also very athletic. Must be Michael's genes.

Sad that brother Ian, who died in 2009, is missing seeing these beautiful grandchildren grow up. I used to bounce the boys on my knees when they were about three or four years old, and they still remember my visits. We were all on a 2015 Xmas cruise together in the Caribbean, and what a joyful week that was.
